about

My practice includes works ranging from painting, experimental printmaking, maquette building to photography, using the city and contemporary glitzy architecture as inspiration. I create work in response to the seduction and fascination I feel for the modern city’s architecture and the world of communication. The work is read as imaginative and visually pleasing. Indeed the form and aesthetics play an important role in my practice. The work is based in an imaginary fantastical world which is nevertheless rooted in the urban realm.

My interest in architecture, science fiction and technology particularly inform my constructed structures as well as my prints. During the process of making I will choose specific materials such as electronic components, computer motherboards, plastics, metal and industrial parts collected and assembled for the purpose of building and printing. It can be considered that the work taps into the tradition of the found object.
